Zeinat Gelli (nee Atta) is an emerging modern impressionist oil painter who paints from photographic references. She was born in Lagos, Nigeria and from the age of 10 moved to the UK, attending school at Kent College Pembury and Brook House College. She graduated with a BSc from King’s College, London, and earned a master’s degree from Bristol University. After graduating, she pursued a career as a scientist and began painting as a hobby. In 2017, after years of developing her skills through self-practice and participation in various workshops, she made the decision to pursue a career as an artist. Zeinat has lived in several countries over the years including Nigeria, the UK, France, Italy and currently resides Maryland, USA. Her pieces are often influenced by her cross-cultural background and experiences.
